Taller 9s: Cal Xerta paper mill, Sant Pere de Riudebitlles, Barcelona
Thanks to a project by Taller 9s, the demolition of the old Cal Xerta paper mill - a defunct, dilapidated factory in Sant Pere de Riudebitlles - was avoided, replaced by the idea to set up an interpretation centre for paper, a traditional trade linked to the valley of the River Bitlles.

Previews of the future: MAD unveils its plans for Shenzhen Bay Culture Park
MAD Architects, under architect Ma Yansong, has revealed the masterplan for Shenzhen Bay Culture Park, which will also include the Creative Design Hall and Shenzhen Science and Technology Museum. The architect models the green area to create a work of land art in a park that serves the design of the buildings while offering the public a visionary concept of the city in which to establish a new way of perceiving space and time.

Felix Meritis, renewing the past to take it into the future, by i29
Felix Meritis is a building on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, constructed in 1788 for a society of scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and thinkers. The Dutch architecture firm i29 was commissioned by Amerborgh investment group to revamp its interiors. The design concept is standout, charismatic, inspired by the building’s rich history.
