Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past
The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023
Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

Faithlie Centre, transformation by Moxon Architects in Fraserburgh, UK
Moxon Architects completed the restoration of two buildings in Fraserburgh, Scotland, joining them with a new addition to form a single architectural complex housing Aberdeenshire Council. Karim Nader, work on the restoration of ten schools in Beirut
The extensive damage caused by the devastating explosion at Beirut’s port on 4 August 2020 also affected many school buildings. Architect Karim Nader is working together with architect Ivana Nestorovic on a rapid-response urgent project to restore ten public schools in western Beirut, giving its children the chance to return to school as soon as possible.

McGill University’s new power plant by Les architectes FABG
McGill University in Montreal, Canada needed a new building to house three 1.5 MW emergency generators to protect research work in the event of a blackout. Les architectes FABG built a construction combining historical research with architecture, engineering and landscaping, offering a sustainable response that goes beyond the building’s purely utilitarian purpose.
