Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past

The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023

Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

For its post-pandemic reopening, the Danish Architecture Center (DAC) in the BLOX building designed by OMA welcomes visitors with a new permanent installation by the artist Carsten Höller. The new attraction is a 15-metre-high and 40-metre long giant slide that adds a new playful dimension to the exploration of this space.
