Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past
The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023
Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

The Chinese architecture studio Wutopia Lab has given the famous Hubei Foreign Language Bookstore in Wuhan, Hubei a complete makeover. Their project gravitates around an internal cone of light and stands as a symbol for the Hubei Changjiang Publishing & Media Group and for the city itself.

H Code, building for urban renewal, CL3
The founder of CL3 Architects Limited, William Lim and the studio’s head of design, Clinton Tsoi completed the H Code project in Hong Kong. The multipurpose architecture is formed of a low-rise volume and a high-rise volume and aims to be a symbol of pondered, harmonious urban renewal.

Panoramic views: Edge at Hudson Yards, New York
Edge, a cantilevered observation deck jutting out from the 100th floor of the Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates (KPF)-designed 30 Hudson Yards supertall, opened to the public last week at Manhattan’s Hudson Yards, only to close two days later to aid in the containment of the coronavirus.
