Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past
The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023
Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

Senja, a retreat in Norway by Bjørnådal Arkitektstudio
Norwegian architect Hans-Petter Bjørnådal and his team from Bjørnådal Arkitektstudio have designed a wooden cabin based on the building traditions of the Sami people. The architecture is the product of a project in harmony with the natural surroundings of Senja, an island above the Arctic Circle.

Résidence Gif, Student Housing by SOA Architectes
Résidence Gif by the French firm, SOA Architectes is a student housing project in Gif-sur-Yvette, a commune about thirty kilometres from the centre of Paris. The architects completed a project that responds to its urban context and is designed to reach out and engage with even more beneficiaries of this new piece of architecture.

MVRDV completes Concordia Design in Wrocław, Poland
Designed by the Dutch studio MVRDV, the Concordia Design project in Wrocław, Poland is the renovation and extension of a 19th-century listed building on the city’s Słodowa Island in the Oder River. The architects have added a contemporary extension to create a mixed-use building, featuring co-working offices, a space for resident artists, a venue for cultural events, and a food hall and relaxation zone. The interiors are decorated with a large, colourful mural by the Polish artist Alicja Biała.
