Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past

The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023

Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

A joint project between the Urbánika architecture studio with Acento Colectivo and Plan Proyecto for the realisation of the Regional Centre for Autism Care (CRIAA) in Ciudad Camargo, in the state of Chihuahua, Mexico. The Centre is located inside a childrenâ's park, incorporating some of the existing trees to encourage dialogue between its young users and nature.

Dabbagh Architects designs a mosque in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

Dabbagh Architects, the studio led by principal architect and founder Sumaya Dabbagh, built a mosque dedicated to Mohamed Abdulkhaliq Gargash in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. The place of worship, convincing in form, material qualities and use of daylight, is one of the first mosques designed by a female architect in the United Arab Emirates.
