Merkurhuset in Gothenburg by the OLSSON LYCKEFORS studio, between present and past
The Merkurhuset project designed by the Swedish Olsson Lyckefors studio not only takes its name from one of the most iconic buildings in Sweden's second largest city, but also enters into dialogue with the protected historical pre-existing architecture. An 8,000 square metre building is born that fits harmoniously into the urban context, without losing its identity.

Ivrea reopens its doors: Welc-Home to my House 2023
Once again this year, Ivrea - the industrial city of the 20th century and a UNESCO World Heritage Site - opens its doors for visitors to marvel at Olivetti’s architecture, with involvement from local citizens and a media partnership with Floornature. There are two weekends available - 23/24 September and 30 September/1 October - as well as days dedicated to photography and architecture on 22 and 30 September respectively.

Kengo Kuma, Retail Pavilion for Amanpuri, Phuket
Japanese architect Kengo Kuma’s Retail Pavilion stands on the Andaman coastline in Phuket, Amanpuri, Thailand. This was the first property opened by the Aman hotel chain, built 32 years ago, and like it, the new addition is inspired by the philosophy of sustainable tourism respectful of its context.

Hacker Architects studio renovates the Bailey Residence in Black Butte Ranch, in Oregon
The Portland-based Hacker Architects studio has completed the renovation project for the Bailey Residence, one of the original 1970s Country House Condos. The architects used the opportunity to pay tribute to the original design concept while simplifying the home's layout, in line with contemporary needs.

2022 European Capitals of Culture, Esch-sur-Alzette in Luxembourg
Esch-Alzette, the second largest city in Luxembourg, has been named one of the three 2022 European Capitals of Culture. Esch2022 includes the city, together with Luxembourg's 10 Pro-Sud municipalities and the 8 French municipalities of the "Communauté de Communes Pays Haut Val d'Alzette" (CCPHVA). An interregional project which, under the REMIX motto, invites citizens to rethink the present, based on a conscious mix of the many elements that characterise this diverse region located in the heart of Europe.
