TALA Award Night in Bangkok, landscape architecture in Thailand.

“Landscape Vision 2015 by TALA” is the name of the competition organised by the Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA). The exhibition of the winning projects opened during the award night on 21 March.



The Thailand Landscape Architecture Awards 2015, organised by the Thai Association of Landscape Architects (TALA) around the theme, “Landscape Vision 2015 by TALA” concluded with the awards night and the opening of the exhibition held in the Bangkok Art and Cultural Center on 21 March.

A resounding success with both the general public and the trade – proof again that the tradecraft of landscape architecture is being increasingly perceived as something that can improve and mediate the relationship between people and their environment. An even more important issue in places where high population growth and high-density living make it fundamental to protect and manage nature that is affected by human activity, in order to ensure sustainable development.

As we have already mentioned, the selected projects have an excellent level of aesthetic and design, and we'll be sharing them with our readers over the upcoming weeks. 

Here are the winners of the Excellence Awards: Landscape Architects 49 Limited with Parkland Srnakarin (General Design – Residential Complex), P Landscape Co. Ltd. con 137 Pillars House (Design-Hospitality), XsiTE Design Studio Co. Ltd. with the Thai Public Broadcasting Service Headquarter (Institution), Landscape Architects 49 Limited with Mink Mongkol Green Park (General Design – Public Space), Landscape Planning Co. Ltd. with Sirindhom International Environmental Park (Master Planning & Design Guidelines), XsiTE Design Studio Co. Ltd. with Buddhadasa Indapanno Archives (Community Service/Workshop). Four projects jointly won honourable mentions in the General Design-Commercial and Private Residences categories.
