Chao Phraya Sky Park in Bangkok

Chao Phraya Sky Park in Bangkok is a green landmark in the Thai capital, created out of the ruins of a railway infrastructure project left abandoned 40 years ago. The work of landscape architecture and urban planning studio LANDPROCESS has made this urban non-place into the nation’s first pedestrian bridge park spanning a river, an oasis of well-being for people, flora and fauna.

Symbiosis with nature, a green neighbourhood in Bangkok

Attention to the environment is the foundation of future urban development. Precisely for this reason within The Forestias, in Bangkok, one of the largest real estate development projects in Thailand, we find an urban forest covering 48,000 square metres of space. Here, the Forest Pavilion shows the future neighbourhood and will subsequently be converted into The Forestias Ecosystem Learning Centre for sharing knowledge of the forest ecosystem.

MVRDV completes the façade of the Bulgari flagship store in Bangkok

In Bangkok, in IconSiam, one of the largest shopping centres in Asia, MVRDV architecture studio designed the façade of the newly completed Bulgari flagship store. This is the second façade that MVRDV’s architects designed for the historic Italian luxury brand, following the completion of the façade for its flagship store in Kuala Lumpur in 2018.

Foster + Partners Apple Central World a new iconic store for Bangkok

July 31 saw the official opening in Bangkok of Apple Central World, the second and largest Apple store in Thailand. The building in Ratchaprasong, located at one of the Thai city’s iconic intersections, appears almost sculptural. The glass structure and large cantilevered wooden roof is supported by a central pillar. The project was designed by Foster + Partners design studio in collaboration with the Apple team and local architectural practices F&P (Thailand) Ltd. and Architects 49 Ltd.
