Winners of the 2020 Architecture Drawing Prize
The Architecture Drawing Prize is part of a circuit of events linked with the World Architecture Festival. The fourth edition of the prize, an expression of the timeless fascination of architectural drawing, now has a new category: the Lockdown Prize. The winner is Clement Laurencio for Apartment #5, which also won the Hybrid category.

Winners of the 2021 AIANY Design Awards
AIA New York’s annual Design Awards program recognises outstanding architectural design by AIA New York members. This year’s jury met online to select the winners in four of the five categories: Architecture, Interiors, Projects, and Urban Design. No awards were given this year in the Sustainability category.

Canada, Prix du XXe Siècle Award of Excellence 2020
The Royal Architectural Institute of Canada (RAIC) and the National Trust for Canada have announced that the Niagara Parks Commission’s Butterfly Conservatory is the recipient of the 2020 Prix du XXe Siècle Award of Excellence. Additionally, the Humber River Bicycle and Pedestrian Bridge has received a Certificate of Merit.

Winners and commendations for the 2020 Architekturpreis Beton, Germany
Architekturpreis Beton recognizes outstanding achievements in the use of concrete for architecture and is one of the most eagerly awaited awards to learn about the state of the art of German architecture. Since 2008, the Federal Association of the German Cement Industry has awarded the prize in collaboration with the German association of architects (BDA), and this year’s recipients are four equal-ranking winners and four commendations.

RAIC Emerging Architectural Practice Award - 2020
The Royal Architecture Institute of Canada (RAIC) announced the two recipients of the 2020 Emerging Architectural Practice Award. They are Toronto-based studio PARTISANS and Nine Yards Studio from Charlottetown.

Pei Cobb Freed & Partners a new building for Copenhagen’s Tivoli Hjørnet gardens
Pei Cobb Freed & Partners’s new building for Tivoli, the amusement park and gardens in Copenhagen first opened to the public in 1843, has won the American Institute of Architects’s 2020 Architecture Award. Hufton+Crow’s images clearly reveal the unusual light effects on the building’s undulated glass walls, making the Tivoli Hjørnet into a sumptuous curtain ready to rise and reveal the fantastic world of Copenhagen’s Tivoli gardens.

Casey House by Hariri Pontarini Architects, 2020 National Urban Design Awards
