Kossmann Dejong, an exhibition for The House of Artisans in Abu Dhabi

Designers from the Dutch Kossmann Dejong studio, together with Tellart, have created an exhibition on ancient crafts and artisanry at the House of Artisans, in Abu Dhabi. The exhibition concept has been fittingly revisited in an evocative architecture designed by architect Alex Franklin featuring a façade of woven wicker panels.

"Build Better Now" is the virtual pavilion designed by AECOM on the occasion of COP26, the 26th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties currently underway in Glasgow, United Kingdom. The pavilion houses 17 sustainable and exemplary architectures, selected from buildings constructed in different parts of the world. An important sample of excellence that offers concrete examples of how we can deal with the climate emergency, limiting the environmental impact of buildings and of the cities in which we live.

ADI DESIGN INDEX 2021 preparing for the 27th Compasso d'Oro award

On October 27, ADI Design Museum in Milan saw the presentation of the 233 products selected for the ADI Design Index 2021, the exhibition held by the ADI Permanent Design Observatory presenting a selection of the best products of Italian design shortlisted for the 27th Compasso d'Oro award, due to be awarded in 2022. The exhibition was inaugurated in Milan, where it will stay until November 7 before moving on to Rome.

An exhibition dedicated to the works of architect Pietro Lingeri (1894-1968), curated by Gabriele Neri and staged by Onsitestudio, is currently running at the Milan Triennale until 21 November. The initiative is part of the process of enhancing and promoting the work of the great masters that the Triennale Milano has implemented for some years now. To coincide with the celebrations for the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, the exhibition also includes design drawings and the original model of the famous Danteum, a work Ligeri designed together with Terragni and that was never built.

Frank Barkow for The Architects Series - A documentary on: Barkow Leibinger

On Thursday October 28, the 19th appointment of The Architects Series, the format created by The Plan magazine for the Iris Ceramica Group, will be live-streamed from the Iris Ceramica Group Showroom in Berlin. The protagonist of the new documentary is the Berlin-based Barkow Leibinger studio founded by architects Frank Barkow and Regine Leibinger. The screening of the video-documentary will be followed by a lecture held by architect Frank Barkow. To follow the event online, participants must register on the Iris Ceramica Group's digital platform.

Three design exhibitions, between attention to environmental issues and resilience

Three different design exhibitions to raise awareness of environmental issues and resilience, through different languages. We start from the small scale of the objects designed by Roberto Marcatti to contain water, making our way to Luca Gnizio’s proposals, who transforms industrial production waste into a resource, to finish off with the large-scale sculptures by Leiko Ikemura, which intimately dialogue with the architecture of the Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències in Valencia, designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

An artificial forest that produces oxygen and an immersive reality that allows us to understand our environmental impact.
