TRACES exhibition designed by KANVA studio in the Canadian Pavilion at World Expo 2020 Dubai

"10 Journeys through Italian Architecture" exhibition at Triennale di Milano
At the Triennale di Milano, an exhibition opened its doors to the public on October 1, to tell the story of Italy’s contemporary architectural heritage through photographs taken along 10 routes that cross the Italian peninsula. The images were captured by photographers under 40 and are part of an initiative promoted by the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea (DGCC) of the Italian Ministry of Culture, which implements the Atlante Architettura Contemporanea platform.

The exhibition entitled "Contested Modernities. Postcolonial Architecture in Southeast Asia" and presented at the Haus der Statistik in Berlin explores modernism in Southeast Asia. A little-known topic in Germany, also with regard to the preservation of these buildings, which is part of a broader discourse that is very similar worldwide.

Daniele Lauria curates Together in Venice in Carlo Scarpa's Negozio Olivetti
In Venice, until November 21, the Negozio Olivetti, one of the masterpieces of Carlo Scarpa and of Italian architecture of the twentieth century, hosts the exhibition "Together” organized by FAI, by the Order of Architects of Venice and the magazine IQD, under the curatorship of the architect Daniele Lauria. Originating from a reflection on the theme of the Architecture Biennale curated by Hashim Sarkis, the "Together”" exhibition involved architects and designers from different corners of the world, committed primarily to their local communities. Their exemplary projects are displayed in a setting that respects Carlo Scarpa's architecture and Olivetti's historical collection.

Cersaie, International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings
From September 27 to October 1 in Bologna, the trade fair district will host the 38th edition of Cersaie, the International Exhibition of Ceramics for Architecture and Bathroom Furnishings. An international event of great prestige that is finally able to welcome back visitors in person after the stop imposed by the Covid-19 pandemic. This year’s edition will host many important guests including architect Shigeru Ban, winner of the Pritzker Prize in 2014.

The winners of the International Architecture Awards 2021
The Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design announced the winners of the International Architecture Awards 2021 on August 17th. The awards are offered for buildings and landscape interventions completed anywhere in the world between 2019 and 2021. The award ceremony will take place on September 10th in Athens, Greece, while “The City and the World”, a traveling exhibition dedicated to all the winning architectures, will visit various European cities during 2022.

Architekturzentrum Wien Planet Matters Conference for Vienna Biennale for Change 2021
Vienna is currently (from 28 May to 3 October 2021) hosting the fourth edition of the Biennale, entitled: "Vienna Biennale for Change 2021: Planet Love: Climate Care in The Digital Age". At five different locations across the city, exhibitions, projects and events illustrate the contribution architecture, design and art can make to a sustainable future inspired by “climate care” and “planet love”. On 3 and 4 September 2021, Architekturzentrum Wien will be holding the "Planet Matters" conference, searching for innovative solutions for stopping or mitigating climate change.

exhibition "Memphis: 40 Years of Kitsch and Elegance" at the Vitra Design Museum Gallery
Objects, designs and materials are on display at the Vitra Design Museum Gallery in the exhibition "Memphis: 40 Years of Kitsch and Elegance”, that recounts the world and history of Memphis, the legendary group of Italian designers formed to overturn the dogmas of functionalism which then dominated industrial design, which, although short-lived (from 1981 to 1987), had considerable international influence.
