Women in architecture, an exhibition that celebrates them at the MAXXI Museum in Rome

Inagurated at the Maxxi in Rome on December 16, the exhibition "GOOD NEWS. Women in architecture" narrates nearly one hundred stories of women architects. A long story, from the first woman to graduate in architecture in 1890, Signe Hornborg, to the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize in 2004, Zaha Hadid, to emerging professionals in the international architecture scene.

The Copenhill / Amager Bakke project, designed by the BIG architectural firm is World Building of the Year 2021. Future Project of the Year 2021 is Silo City designed by Studio V Architecture in New York. Landscape of the year 2021 is Al Fay Park designed by SLA Architects, the first urban biodiversity park in the Middle East built in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. The 15th edition of the World Architecture Festival will take place in Lisbon in 2022.

The dates of the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale and the curator, Lesley Lokko, have been announced

Lesley Lokko, architect, writer and university lecturer, founder and director of the African Futures Institute, a postgraduate school in architecture and public events platform, was appointed as curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2023. The Board of La Biennale di Venezia announced the news on December 14, 2021, together with the dates of the international event that will take place in the Italian city from May 20 to November 26, 2023.

The exhibition entitled "Olivetti e l'arte: Jean Michel Folon", on at the P. A. Casa Lana and Ettore Sottsass. Struttura e colore exhibition at Triennale Milano

On December Triennale Milano opened a new exhibition hall on the first floor of the Palazzo dell'Arte and a new exhibition about the work of architect and designer Ettore Sottsass. The permanent exhibition in the hall contains a reconstructed interior from Casa Lana, a private residence Ettore Sottsass designed in Milan around the mid-1960s. The temporary exhibition “Ettore Sottsass. Struttura e colore (Ettore Sottsass. Structure and colour)” continues until 10 April 2022.
