Foster + Partners, ME Hotel, London

The architecture studio Foster + Partners is responsible for every detail of the Me Hotel in London, from the architectural and structural design to the interior design, including the choice of lights and bathroom fittings.
This recently opened hotel is in the heart of London?s West End, along the Strand, at the Southern endof Covent Garden just a short distance from Trafalgar Square, and nearMarconi House, whose Portland stone covering it matches.

The design features an elliptical towerbuilt in one corner, which marks the hotel?s main entrance. The tower has a glass cupola, a modern reinterpretation of Edwardian style, which offers 360 degree panoramic views of the city.
The interior design combines essential, minimalist lines that are reflected in the colours used for each space: black and white.

The hotel has a wide range of features, including a gym and cinema room. On the top floor there is a panoramic restaurant which has a spectacular view over the Thames and the Westminster skyline.
