IDOM Alioune Diop University Teaching and Research Unit Senegal

In Senegal, the Spanish firm IDOM has designed an extension for Alioune Diop University, drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings and using conventional low-energy construction techniques and bioclimatic strategies. The project was selected among the finalists of the 2019 edition of the Aga Khan Award for Architecture and has recently won the 2019 COAVN Award in the category Arquitectura y Urbanismo Extraterritorial.

NADAAA: Daniels Building at the University of Toronto

The extension of Knox College at One Spadina Crescent in Toronto was the occasion for NADAAA to design a contemporary volume, the Daniels Building, updated in energy sustainability and in dialogue with the neighbourhood. The Daniels Building translates the vertical thrust of the neo-Gothic building.

KAAN Architecten two campuses for Anhembi Morumbi University in Brazil

The new buildings designed by KAAN Architecten for Anhembi Morumbi University have enabled the institution to expand its offering with new degree courses. In 2017 the Dutch architectural practice opened a second office in São Paolo, Brazil, following on closely from projects carried out in South America.

CODE and Ralf Pasel Boarding School Bella Vista Agronomy Campus Bolivia

Architect and professor Ralf Pasel designed Bella Vista Boarding School with the Department of Structural Design and Construction (CODE) and 40 architecture students from the Institut für Architektur at Technische Universität Berlin, concluding the second stage in the Bella Vista Agronomy Campus and making a concrete contribution to fighting poverty in Bolivia.
