Bruno Gaudin Architectes Library La Contemporaine campus of the Université Paris Nanterre

On the campus of the Université Paris Nanterre, the new building of the “Bibliothèque de Documentation Internationale Contemporaine” designed by Atelier Bruno Gaudin Architectes, has been completed. The building, constructed at the entrance to the university campus, houses the library, the archive centre, the museum and the offices of La Contemporaine. This is a major French institution, a point of reference in the field of humanities and social sciences studies that preserves and collects documents and objects relating to the contemporary history of the 20th and 21st centuries.

The six finalist architectural works of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2021

On 16 September the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) announced the six finalists contending for its most prestigious award, the RIBA Stirling Prize, now in its 25th year. From the six buildings competing for the title of Best Architecture in the UK, the following projects were selected: 15 Clerkenwell Close by GROUPWORK, Cambridge Central Mosque by Marks Barfield Architects, Key Worker Housing by Stanton Williams, Town House (Kingston University London) by Grafton Architects, Tintagel Castle Footbridge by Ney & Partners and William Matthews Associates for the English Heritage, Windermere Jetty Museum by Carmody Groarke.

Snøhetta Ordrupgaard Museum Extension and Landscape

The Snøhetta architecture firm drew inspiration from the paintings of the French Impressionists for the new Ordrupgaard Museum extension and landscape project recently completed near Jægersborg Dyrehave, to the north of Copenhagen in Denmark. The museum contains one of the most comprehensive collections of French and Danish art from the XIX and XX centuries, and had already been extended in 2005 to a project by architect Zaha Hadid.
