Exhibition of projects submitted for the DAM Preis 2020 won by David Chipperfield Architects’ James Simon Galerie

Starting on 31 January 2020, Frankfurt’s DAM Deutsches Architekturmuseum hosts an exhibition about the projects entered for the DAM Preis 2020, a competition for the best architecture in Germany held since 2007. The winning project in 2020 is the James Simon Galerie in Berlin, designed by David Chipperfield Architects.

Counterspace to design the Serpentine Pavilion 2020

The firm that will design the new Serpentine Pavilion, the temporary structure that every year hosts the summer programming of the Serpentine Galleries in London's Kensington Gardens, was announced on February 10. The firm selected is the Counterspace architecture studio based in Johannesburg (South Africa), led by architects Sumayya Vally, Sarah de Villiers and Amina Kaskar and, as per tradition, the pavilion will be their first work in the United Kingdom.

The project entitled "El Contenedor MAC" seeks to expand the scope of the museum.
