Andrea Oliva: Former water towers in Budrio

In projects for conversion of abandoned areas and buildings, Andrea Oliva stands out for his project for the former water towers which transform a site of industrial archaeology in Budrio (Bologna) into a work of contemporary architecture for use by the community. Traditional materials and forms are interpreted in a contemporary spirit in a project which has already become a new landmark in the town.

Costa-Fierros: Music Park in Seville

Following construction of Cocheras underground station in Seville, Agencia de Obra Pública de la Junta de Andalucía appointed architects Costa-Fierros to come up with a masterplan for redevelopment of the whole area. With its ceramic, limestone and granite pavement, the new Music Park becomes a big plaza linking two residential neighbourhoods.

UID architects: Nest, the forest as home

In his plan for a house in a forest in Onomichi he uses materials to mark the planes of interaction between different spaces and functions while denying vertical barriers and designing façades encouraging visual interaction between inside and outside.
