Copenhagen-based studio ADEPT has designed a new taphouse for the Braunstein microbrewery in the harbour of Koege, Denmark. Since it stands on what may well be a temporary site, the architecture was designed as an easily demountable project that could easily be moved somewhere else.

We have been following Solar Egg since its first installation in Kiruna in 2017; the artwork was designed by Swedish artists Bigert & Bergström for the property developer Riksbyggen and it has now arrived at the famous Icehotel in Jukkasjärvi, rebuilt every year using the ice from the Torne River. The contrast between ice and heat is an initiative designed to focus on the problems of global warming.

K-Kampus by JKMM, sustainable offices in Helsinki

The Finnish firm, JKMM Architects recently completed K-Kampus, the Kesko headquarters in Helsinki. The architecture occupies a whole city block in the Kalasatama district and serves as a base for some 1800 employees. The building has been granted Green Office environmental certification and an application for BREEAM certification is pending.
