External Reference presents Escaleras y Mirador Vela

"Escaleras y Mirador Vela" is a new project by Carmelo Zappulla’s architectural practice External Reference connecting Passeig del Mare Nostrum with Plaça de la Rosa dels Vents on the Barceloneta waterfront. The project presents an architectural façade accessible via a stairway and a raised waterfront promenade 9.30 metres above the ground.

Czech studio Mjölk architekti has added four panoramic viewpoints to a strategic spot on Stráž Mountain in the Czech Republic, giving architectural form to the four patrons depicted in the coat of arms of the town of Rokytnice, which was founded by merging four villages: the Fox, the Bear, the Sheep and the Miner.

The first Cornelia Hahn Oberlander International Landscape Architecture Prize

The American Cultural Landscape Foundation, or TCLF, has announced the first winner of the new biennial Oberlander Prize, named after the late landscape architect Cornelia Hahn Oberlander and bestowed on a recipient who is "exceptionally talented, creative, courageous, and visionary”.
