Fosbury Architecture to lead the Italian Pavilion at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2023
The Fosbury Architecture collective will curate the Italian Pavilion at the 18th International Architecture Exhibition curated by Lesley Lokko for the Biennale of Venice. The collective was founded in Milan in 2013 by architects: Giacomo Ardesio, Alessandro Bonizzoni, Nicola Campri, Claudia Mainardi and Veronica Caprino.

Lesley Lokko's The Laboratory of the Future Architecture Biennale 2023
The 18th International Architecture Exhibition, curated by Lesley Lokko, will take place from 20 May to 26 November 2023 in the usual venues of the Giardini and the Arsenale, as well as other venues in the city of Venice. The title and theme of the event “The Laboratory of the Future”, was announced and unveiled on 31 May.

The handmade art of Simone Leigh
It is no coincidence that the American artist who took home the coveted Golden Lion at the 59th Venice Biennale makes all her pieces out of stoneware and clay, including her models for bronze casts. Her primary source of inspiration is the Black female body, translated into a figurative universe of sculptures and installations to which the entire United States Pavilion is dedicated.

The dates of the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale and the curator, Lesley Lokko, have been announced
Lesley Lokko, architect, writer and university lecturer, founder and director of the African Futures Institute, a postgraduate school in architecture and public events platform, was appointed as curator of the 18th International Architecture Exhibition La Biennale di Venezia 2023. The Board of La Biennale di Venezia announced the news on December 14, 2021, together with the dates of the international event that will take place in the Italian city from May 20 to November 26, 2023.

The themes of COP26 and of the Venice Biennale in the webinars organised by the Iris Ceramica Group
The last week of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of the Biennale di Venezia also saw the conclusion of the offer of webinars promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group as part of Resilient Communities - Italian Pavilion and organised by The Plan magazine. Thanks to the contributions of the many and important international guests, the themes covered by COP26, the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties, were addressed and adapted to the architectural landscape. Moreover, the virtuous processes of urban regeneration carried out in various so-called Italian media cities were also presented, which saw a high and interested participation of the part of the public.

Media Cities Appunto Acqua Webinar Iris Ceramica Group and Resilient Communities - Biennale di Venezia
Two new webinars complete the initiatives promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group in the context of Resilient Communities – the Italian Pavilion and organised by The Plan magazine. The focus shifts to cities, and particularly "media cities", to discuss and compare experiences of urban regeneration and development for the future centring around the elements and key resources of water and greenery.

Climate change and creativity webinar at Resilient Communities, Biennale di Venezia
"Climate change and creativity" is the third appointment of the webinars promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group, within the Resilient Community - Italian Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia and organised by The Plan magazine. The theme of the webinar brings to the attention of the public the drastic need to adopt a transdisciplinary, visionary and radical approach, to find effective and innovative solutions that can reverse the course we are currently on and transform cities and communities into open systems, resilient to climate change.

The themes of COP26 at Resilient Communities, Italian Pavilion at the Biennale di Venezia
From October 5 to November 16, the Italian Pavilion at the 17th International Architecture Exhibition of the Biennale di Venezia presents 4 webinars dedicated to the themes that will be the subject of the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties, also known as COP26, scheduled to be held in Glasgow from October 31 to November 12. The events, promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group as part of the "Resilient Communities" Italian Pavilion and organised by The Plan magazine, will feature important international guests, to be introduced by architect Alessandro Melis, curator of the Italian Pavilion.

Venice Biennale, UK pavilion presents The Garden of Privatised Delights
"How will we live together" â' the theme of the 17th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia â' inspired the curators of the British pavilion, Manijeh Verghese and Madeleine Kessler, to create The Garden of Privatised Delights. The exhibition explores the privatisation of public space in the UK today, while considering the role that design and architecture can play in supporting a more inclusive future.
