The temporary team consisting of AIA, Barceló-Balanzó Arquitectes and Gustau Gili Galfetti has designed the Camp del Ferro, the new sports centre in the La Sagrera neighbourhood of Barcelona. The latticework effect used for the bricks softens their impact, whilst the inverted vaulted roof ties the building to nearby factories.

The Scarborough Life Saving Club has found a new home in the recently-redesigned waterfront of Scarborough Beach in Perth, Western Australia. The project was the work of architecture firm Hames Sharley. The design process was developed through a series of meetings with all the parties involved in the use of the area of coastline in question. The result is a complex architecture featuring organic shapes and low energy consumption, spread over two levels and stretching out - much like its users - towards the waves of the Indian Ocean.

The studio Bruther, founded by architects Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Thériot, has won the 2020 Swiss Architectural Award. The candidates for the seventh edition of the award are nominated by a committee of internationally prominent architects and critics. The jury, chaired by architect Mario Botta, selected Bruther on the basis of three projects: the Saint-Blaise Cultural and Sports Centre in Paris (2010-2014), the New Generation Research Centre in Caen (2013-2015), and “Maison Julie-Victoire Daubié” Residence for Researchers in Paris (2014-2018).
