In Givisiez, Switzerland, the Bern-based IttenBrechbühl Architects firm designed the new futuristic headquarters for Scott Sports, manufacturer of sports equipment for cycling, skiing, motorcycling and running. A dynamic building with a high-tech modular façade that contains an imposing full-height central atrium. A structure that interprets and immediately communicates Scott Sports’ brand values and corporate mission.

Bromont – Montagne d’expériences is North America’s biggest illuminated ski resort. Last year the company that operates it appointed prominent Canadian architectural studio Lemay to build a new chalet at the top of the slopes on Mt. Brome, designed to blend in with its surroundings and offer visitors all-round views. Wood is the key to this sober contemporary architecture discretely embracing the shape of the mountain.

MAD Architects: Architecture and landscape at the Quzhou Sports Park

In Quzhou, in the Chinese province of Zhejiang, MAD Architects - headed up by architect Ma Yansong - has designed a stadium and other sports facilities that dissolve into the landscape. This is the vast Quzhou Sports Park, a park spread across an overall surface area of 570,000 square metres comprising both sports facilities - including a 30,000-seat stadium, a gymnasium for an audience of 10,000, a swimming pool, outdoor training grounds, and a service centre for athletes - and a science and technology museum, as well as other areas for children.

Lemoal Lemoal Architectes New facilities for the Garden Tennis Club in Cabourg

Parisian firm Lemoal Lemoal Architectes has designed the new changing rooms for the Garden Tennis Club in Cabourg. Though the project may be small in scale, it is significant in its interpretation of traditional construction techniques. The architects lent a contemporary look to the traditional half-timbered houses typical of the region. The design of the changing rooms is part of a wider renovation plan involving the entire sports facility, overseen largely by Lemoal Lemoal Architectes.
