Design synergy for Kingsbury Commons at Pease Park in Austin

The Kingsbury Commons project in Pease Park, the oldest park in Austin, Texas, is part of the Pease Park Vision Plan and gives a burst of energy to a forgotten corner of the area. Hage, a green and social space for a neighbourhood in the making in Lund

Designed by Norwegian architects Brendeland & Kristoffersen, in collaboration with engineers Price and Myers, the Hage garden in the Swedish city of Lund consists of a canopy, a seating area and a brick wall. It answers the question of how to build a new community, starting with social space. Above all, it is among the five finalists in the 11th European Prize for Urban Public Space.

From garage to studio, a transformation in Seattle

In Seattle's Ballard district, the architects of Mutuus Studio, Jim Friesz and Kristen Becker have transformed an old garage into a small studio measuring approximately 33 square metres. The project, realised in collaboration with Crescent Builds, follows the wish of the owners and proposes a multifunctional living space for all members of the family.

The recovery of Catharijnesingel in Utrecht by OKRA Landschapsarchitecten

In Utrecht, the Netherlands, the rehabilitation of the Catharijnesingel, a work by studio OKRA Landschapsarchitecten, is among the five finalists for the prestigious European Prize for Urban Public Space edition 2022. The result is the reopening of a canal with multiple benefits for citizens, ranging from microclimate to biodiversity to urban resilience.

New offices of Cushing Terrell studio in Seattle

Multidisciplinary design studio Cushing Terrell has opened its new office in Seattle's Waterfront District on the seventh floor of the Agen Warehouse, a 1910 listed building. The redevelopment of the preexistence is the calling card of the studio's working philosophy.

Asti Architetti and the restoration of the Torre Velasca in Milan

The architecture firm Asti Architetti oversaw the restoration project of the Torre Velasca, built between 1956 and 1958 by the BBPR architectural partnership, which has since then become a landmark of this Italian city. After 18 months of renovation work and more than two years of planning, this iconic building is about to be visible again within the city and to its citizens. In fact, the scaffolding and tarps that covered the façades are being taken down, and this operation should be completed by the end of September.

Place Saint Sernin, reorganisation of public space in Toulouse

In Toulouse, the Place Saint Sernin reorganisation project by Barcelona-based BAU brings public space back into the historic centre of the French city. This intervention, begun in 2015 and completed in 2020, where cars give way to trees and benches, is among the finalists for the European Prize for Public Space 2022.
