The Dutch architecture firm MVRDV, in collaboration with the urban planners from StudioPOD, has transformed a first section of what is one of the classic non-urban places, in this specific case Mumbai’s Senapati Bapat Marg flyover. Thanks to the architectural intervention carried out, One Green Mile has created a public space for the entire local community, adding much needed services and greenery.

Thanks to the initiative by Norbert Herrmanns from Landmarken AG, together with the digitalHUB Association, the city of Aachen in Germany has its first co-working space in the nave of the former St. Elisabeth’s Church. A very appealing space that honours the Church’s original meaning as a gathering space for the digital community.

Finalists for the 2022 European Prize for Urban Public Space announced

The European Prize for Urban Public Space is a biennial award presented by the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona, or Contemporary Culture Centre of Barcelona (CCCB), which has announced the selected works and the finalists in the 11th edition of the prize. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony to be held at CCCB on 14 and 15 November 2022.

Josep Ferrando Architecture and Gallego Arquitectura, transformation of a prison in Reus

Josep Ferrando Architecture, in collaboration with Gallego Arquitectura, worked on the renovation of the former prison in Reus (Tarragona). The complex, built in 1929 and classified as a Cultural Asset of Local Interest, included in the Inventory of the Architectural Heritage of Catalonia, has been transformed into the El Roser Social Centre. It is one of the finalists in the Architecture category of the FAD 2022 Awards.
