VenhoevenCS + Ateliers 2/3/4/ Aquatic Centre for the Paris 2024 Olympics

Paris will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in the summer of 2024. The new aquatic centre designed by VenhoevenCS + Ateliers 2/3/4/ is the biggest facility to be built specifically for the Olympics, as 95% of the locations and equipment that will be used are already ready or will be completed using temporary structures.

Bruther wins the 2020 Swiss Architectural Award

The studio Bruther, founded by architects Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Thériot, has won the 2020 Swiss Architectural Award. The candidates for the seventh edition of the award are nominated by a committee of internationally prominent architects and critics. The jury, chaired by architect Mario Botta, selected Bruther on the basis of three projects: the Saint-Blaise Cultural and Sports Centre in Paris (2010-2014), the New Generation Research Centre in Caen (2013-2015), and “Maison Julie-Victoire Daubié” Residence for Researchers in Paris (2014-2018).

Manuelle Gautrand’s Edison Lite, a co-housing project that reinvents Paris

Edison Lite, a co-housing project by architect Manuelle Gautrand constructed in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, is one of the winners of the “Réinventer Paris 1” competition: a call for innovative urban projects with which the City of Paris has selected 22 architectural projects out of more than 350 entries submitted. Manuelle Gautrand proposes a new way of living in the city in which residents enjoy use of unique shared spaces such as a rooftop terrace, a vegetable plot and a workshop, while sharing ownership of a retail space that allows them to cut building management costs.
