An October evening in Paris: a special banquet is being held in a beautiful high-class apartment, featuring enamelled ceramic dishes and cups in the shapes and colours of clouds, containing foods put together like sculptures, little flowers, candles and crystals. Ceramic Banquet Act I was an event held by House of Today to honour Lebanese ceramist Souraya Haddad.

MVRDV Gaîté Montparnasse urban regeneration in Paris
In the French capital, the architectural studio MVRDV is working on an urban block, reusing significant parts of a previous building, constructed in the 1970s, to create a new mixed-use complex. The new project creates a more welcoming building by streamlining the existing uses and expanding the offer with new social housing and a kindergarten.

Manuelle Gautrand Architecture, a hotel for Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport.
Architect Manuelle Gautrand and her firm have designed two new hotels for the Marriott brand on the site of Paris' Charles de Gaulle Airport, in an area called "Pôle Hôtelier", that will house several hotels and office buildings under the airport's development and renovation plan.

David Chipperfield Architects completed Morland Mixité Capitale in Paris
The former Préfecture de Paris, the building that housed the city administration for years, has undergone a major renovation completed by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin. Originally completed around 1960 by architect Albert Laprade, the large scale of the building made it appear closed off and inaccessible. The project conceived by David Chipperfield Architects Berlin, instead, revitalised and transformed the complex into the new "Morland Mixité Capitale" as part of the "Réinventer Paris" programme.

GAN-Physarum: ecoLogicStudio explains how a kind of mould can create whole cities
Marco Poletto and Claudia Pasquero - architects, designers and innovators, as well as co-founders of ecoLogicStudio - have curated a section of the ‘Réseaux-Mondes’ exhibition now on at the Centre Pompidou in Paris until 25 April 2022. They have dubbed their project ‘GAN-Physarum: la dérive numérique’, and it demonstrates how, thanks to the wonders of machine learning, a form of slime can effectively underpin the future vision of a bio-digital, ecological and energy-autonomous Paris.

Atelier Zündel Cristea and Architram architectes have designed four new metro stations extending line 14 of the Paris metro toward the town hall of Saint-Ouen to the north. The project involved a number of difficulties connected with the need to work at considerable depths below ground in areas of high urban density involving the simultaneous presence of a number of different construction sites.
