Housing in Ivry by Tectône Architectes

After a period of five years between the initial plans and the end of construction, Tectône Architectes has finally completed the Housing in Ivry residential complex. The architecture, comprising six buildings of different heights connected in an architectural unicum, takes its name from the homonymous area on the outskirts of Paris and is characterised by an outer shell of cream-coloured exposed brick, with an assortment of different textures as a way of enhancing the aesthetics of the entire complex. The 61 living units proposed by Tectône won the tender advertised by the client, OPH Ivry, thanks to their use of brick, in a combination of durability, stability and aesthetics.
