Batlle I Roig: new Stradivarius headquarters in Cerdanyola del Vallès

In the wake of their experience with Inditex’s Massimo Dutti and Pull & Bear brands, Catalonian studio Batlle I Roig has designed the new Stradivarius headquarters in northern Barcelona. Enric Batlle and Joan Roig have built a construction on stilts that solves the parking problem.

MVRDV SALT office building in Amsterdam

SALT is a new project recently completed in Amsterdam by Dutch architectural studio MVRDV, an office building responding to the needs of today’s new creative industries. The façade with its reinforced concrete frames in relief unifies the different operative units in the building, allowing their individuality to show through the differences in the 5 x 4 m module of the windows.

Ivrea as UNESCO World Heritage Site

Italy now has its 54th UNESCO World Heritage Site, “Ivrea industrial city of the 20th century”, an acknowledgement of the entire system based on Adriano Olivetti’s humanistic concept, not just the individual buildings. David Chipperfield Architects Amorepacific Headquarters in Seoul

June 15 saw the inauguration of a new project by David Chipperfield Architects: the headquarters of Amorepacific, an important Korean cosmetics and personal care group. The building is more than just the headquarters of a big company: it also includes public spaces such as a museum, a big auditorium, a library and facilities for children.

Andrea Oliva: Research techno-pole in the former Officine Reggiane
