Mahos Architecture’s addition to a home in a vineyard
Mahos Architecture, the French studio of Lucile Maurel and Camille Hours, designed an addition to a family home in Provence to provide extra living space and panoramic views over the vineyard. The geometry of the addition is based on the proportions of the home and extension of the existing façades in harmony with the landscape.

The Athletes House by AR Design: a balance of the contemporary and the traditional
Multi-award-winning architecture firm AR Design, based in Winchester, last year completed a project in Hampshire dubbed ‘The Athletes House’. The brief was to extend a private 1950s home in a way that deftly combined the clients’ passion - triathlon - with a desire to blend the contemporary with the traditional.

Giorgia Dennerlein Loto Ad Project Valle Giulia rationalist residential interior with pop elements
In Rome, in the elegant Parioli district, architect Giorgia Dennerlein and her studio Loto Ad Project have designed the interior of a private residence in a 1950s building. In the 260 square metre flat, the architect has redefined the rooms by expanding the available space. A number of brightly coloured pop furnishings have been included as breaking elements in the rationalist style that governs this residential interior.

Dining alone at J&Dragon Group’s Lonely Noodle Shop
Chinese studio J&Dragon Group designed the Lonely Noodle Shop in Shanghai, a pop-up experience where you can „give yourself a bowl of noodles to take a break from reality“. Designed for people dining alone, in response to the rapid growth of the population of urban singles, the pop-up shop convinces diners to come in with its high-impact design.

Battersea Power Station London opens to the public
London’s famous Battersea Power Station opens to the public today, 14 October, concluding the second phase in London’s greatest ever urban regeneration project, the Battersea Embankment Development. The primary purpose of the reclamation and conversion of the power plant by award-winning studio Wilkinson Eyre is creation of a multi-purpose mixed-use development that will become an exemplary project for the city. The interiors are designed by Michaelis Boyd.

CCD creates the interior design of the Mumian Chengdu Dong'an Lake Hotel
For the Mumian Chengdu Dong'an Lake Hotel, designers from the Chinese CCD studio were inspired by the local context, by architectural languages and by the rich culture of Sichuan and Longquanyi as design elements. They incorporated the lifestyle of ancient Chinese courier stations into the hotel, taking guests on a journey through history.

Wood to reinterpret the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion
'Mass is More’ is an installation designed by the Institute of Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) and Bauhaus Earth, bringing the innovation of solid wood construction to the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona. The project establishes a dialogue between the industrial modernity of the 20th century and the new low-emission buildings of the 21st century.
