FC Ingenieure Campus and 3deluxe architecture’s "smartphone façade"

Architectural studio 3deluxe designed the FC Ingenieure Campus, the Karlsruhe headquarters of the German engineering company of the same name, a building that stands out for its appearance as well as its laudable focus on sustainability and innovative design choice of integrating a high-tech film normally used on smartphone screens in its façades. The project, implemented in partnership with tech company Merck, adds an interesting chapter to the history of “intelligent architecture”.

In the heart of green Umbria, in central Italy, the old historic Federici pasta factory was brought back to life as the headquarters of Talenti, Italian company specialised in the design and manufacture of outdoor furniture, with an attentive project designed by the Progetto REb studio founded by architects Filippo Cagnotto and Luca Tedde. In the large grain storage silo the studio’s architects recognised a functional volume representative of the identity of the historic pasta factory, transforming it into one of the characteristic elements of the new headquarters, as well as a strong landmark for the local context.

A Italian brand known for its prêt-à-porter collections and partnerships with big names in fashion, Zamasport began operation under the artistic direction of Walter Albini, considered the “father” of prêt-à-porter, followed by Gianni Versace, a newcomer to the world of fashion at the time.
