Steven Holl: Winter Visual Arts Building in Lancaster, Pennsylvania
Steven Holl uses translucent glass, steel and concrete to create an architecture that serves as a manifesto for Franklin & Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The Winter Visual Arts Building is a LEED Gold-certified building, modelled on the image of a kite stuck in the trees.

OPEN Architecture: Pingshan Performing Arts Center
Located to the northeast of Shenzhen, Pingshan formed a new district measuring 168 square kilometres in 2009 and had no theatre until 2019, when the Pingshan Performing Arts Center opened in a building designed by Chinese studio OPEN Architecture after winning the design competition.

David Chipperfield Architects design the Carmen Würth Forum in Künzelsau, Germany
On June 28, the "Carmen Würth Forum" cultural and congress centre opened its doors to the public. The complex was designed for the Adolf Würth firm in the town of Künzelsau, Germany, by the Berlin office of David Chipperfield Architects. The intervention that was recently concluded is a "second phase", an extension that includes a congress area and an art museum which completes the concert and event halls inaugurated in 2017 and also designed by the Berlin-based David Chipperfield Architects firm.

SOA Architectes: the La Fab. building for the agnès b. collection, Paris
Parisian firm SOA Architectes has designed a new multipurpose building in the heart of the 13th arrondissement of the French capital. The building contains 75 residential units, a kindergarten and, on the lower floors, “La Fab.”, which the architecture firm itself has also designed as an interior for agnès b., a stylist, patron and collector who has spent many years supporting artistic creation in all its forms. Her initiatives are also aimed towards social solidarity and safeguarding the environment, and SOA Architectes’ design has provided a home for all of the patron’s various activities under one roof.

Architecture as an educational tool is the message conveyed by the Hakusui Nursery School in Sakura, Japan, designed by Kentaro Yamazaki. A nursery in a glass pavilion with steps that follow the contour of the hillside, with finishes made from Japanese woods and a water-based cooling system on the roof.
