An exhibition of entries for the BSI Swiss Architectural Award opens on September 18, and the winner in 2014 is Spanish architect José María Sánchez García.



BSI Swiss Architectural Award architecture exhibition

An exhibition of works by 27 candidates for the fourth BSI Swiss Architectural Award will be held September 19 through October 26 at the Gallery of the Architecture Academy located in Palazzo Canavée in Mendrisio.
The prize presented by the BSI Architectural Foundation is awarded to architects under 50 of any nationality whose work has made an important contribution to contemporary architectural culture and revealed a particular awareness of the surrounding landscape and environment in which their constructions are set.
The judges of the 2014 competition, chaired by Mario Botta and including architects Alberto Campo Baeza, Marc Collomb, Bruno Reichlin and Charles Kleiber, the Chairman of the BSI Architectural Foundation, unanimously awarded the prize to architect José María Sánchez García.

The awards ceremony will be held on September 18 during the opening of the exhibition featuring the work of the 27 contest entrants, with a particular focus on the winning architect, José María Sánchez García.
