Floornature with the LAND studio for the Milan Design Week

The 60th edition of the Salone del Mobile has as its theme Between Space and Time, a slogan of great relevance to the major transformation that the city of Milan has been undergoing in recent decades. The Milan Design Week 2022 is therefore opening itself up to a broader debate that reaches beyond the world of product design.
In parallel with the initiatives set to take place at the Iris Ceramica Group showroom in Via Santa Margherita 4, Floornature, as media partner, will also follow the series of talks organised by the LAND international landscape consulting company.
Everything is centred around the theme of the Milan Design Week 2022 and illustrated through the concept of "meanwhile uses", in other words the temporary uses of areas undergoing transformation, of which there certainly is no shortage in Milan, as we consider, for example, the MIND Milano Innovation District. The project concerns the redevelopment of the Expo2015 area through the public-private partnership between Arexpo and Lendlease, to "create a sustainable, carbon neutral and inclusive city of the future, where innovation is generated collaboratively for the benefit of communities". 
This large neighbourhood is thus the focus of the Urban Living, a window onto the Decumanus of MIND installation, created by LAND in collaboration with the Migliore+Servetto studio.
Building on the MIND flow experience, the intervention curated by Migliore+Servetto involves a 1.8 km-long yellow street painting, interspersed with green islands created by LAND, the experience is brought to Via Varese, all with the aim of returning a space of nature to the local community. Thanks to the support of HW Style (specialising in the design, creation and maintenance of green spaces), a living lawn will be set up on a parklet right in front of the LAND exhibition space entitled Wunderkammer.
In addition, the theme of the Salone, Between Space and Time, will be explored through a rich programme of activities, including a series of talks. For those unable to attend in person, Floornature, as media partner of the event, will stream the talks on its Facebook channel.
Of course, having in mind the motto of LAND: Reconnecting people with nature.
