Kengo Kuma & Associates design the office of the future in Milan
Work began on 4 March 2021 in Milan’s Parco Lambro district on "Welcome, feeling at work", an office complex designed by Kengo Kuma & Associates inspired by ”the biophilic effect”: that particular sense of wellbeing that comes from being in natural surroundings, as a result of our innate biological attraction to nature. This ambitious project aims to place the offices of the future in a sustainable building: workspaces combining personal wellness and respect for the environment with sophisticated technological and digital systems.

For the new Milanese headquarters of the multinational group of companies Sandvik, architect Giuseppe Tortato designs a building that follows the sun and recalls the colours and finishes of La Forgiatura, a project for redevelopment of a former industrial area by the same architect in northwest Milan.

Vudafieri-Saverino Partners new Milano Verticale UNA Esperienze hotel
Architectural studio Vudafieri-Saverino Partners was in charge of interior architecture and landscape architecture for "Milano Verticale | UNA Esperienze", a new four-star superior hotel the UNA Group will be opening in Milan in April 2021. Vudafieri-Saverino Partners’ project aims to go beyond the conventional idea of the hotel and provide people with a place for business meetings, a hub offering innovative services which is at the same time a renowned food & beverage destination thanks to the cuisine of chef Enrico Bartolini.

Regeneration of Pirelli 39 awarded to Diller Scofidio + Renfro and Stefano Boeri Architetti
January 28 saw the presentation of the project by Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) and Stefano Boeri Architetti, winners of the international architecture competition announced in November 2019 for regeneration of the real estate complex at Via Pirelli 39. The project is part of a plan for redevelopment of a vast area, practically a whole city district, which began with Gioia 22 and will be completed in the years to come with projects for the Pirelli 35 and Gioia 20 buildings.

CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati designs new science campus at University of Milan
The new campus, which will house the University of Milan’s scientific departments, will be built inside the so-called MIND-Milano Innovation District, located within the former Expo 2015 site. The architectural concept was designed by the CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati architecture firm for the Australian Lendlease real estate group, whom the University’s Board of Directors entrusted with the entire process of building and managing the campus.

P+F Parisotto + Formenton Architetti re-design Galleria Bolchini Milano
Parisotto + Formenton Architetti resigned Galleria Bolchini, located in Piazza Meda, Milan, in the building of the same name designed by Pier Giulio Magistretti between 1928 and 1930. The project focused on re-designing the lower part of the building with its public arcade.

Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota MEET Digital Culture Center Milano
MEET is a new centre for digital culture and creative technology in Milan designed by CRA-Carlo Ratti Associati and Italo Rota in a historic building in the heart of the Porta Venezia district. The project centres around a large vertical public space containing the Living Staircase, a "habitable" stairwell 15 metres high representing the core of all the activities and events that take place every day at MEET. The new Digital Culture Center opened to the public on October 31, 2020.
