French architecture firm Coldefy has created a new centre for sustainable transport

The architects of French firm Coldefy have recently completed work on two research institutes in Valenciennes, France: the Institut des Mobilités et Transports Durables (IMTD) & the Institut International du Management (IIM) at the Université Polytechnique des Hauts-de-France (UPHF). The building is home to an ecosystem dedicated to sustainable mobility and transport.

MAD Architects Yabuli Entrepreneurs’ Congress Centre

The congress centre designed by MAD Architects for the Yabuli China Entrepreneurs Forum is now complete. On November 18 through 20, 2020, the new facility housed its inaugural event, the annual Yabuli CEF, one of China’s most influential business organizations. More than 600 entrepreneurs attended the event in the futuristic new congress centre surrounded by the snow-capped mountains of northeast China.

Bruther wins the 2020 Swiss Architectural Award

The studio Bruther, founded by architects Stéphanie Bru and Alexandre Thériot, has won the 2020 Swiss Architectural Award. The candidates for the seventh edition of the award are nominated by a committee of internationally prominent architects and critics. The jury, chaired by architect Mario Botta, selected Bruther on the basis of three projects: the Saint-Blaise Cultural and Sports Centre in Paris (2010-2014), the New Generation Research Centre in Caen (2013-2015), and “Maison Julie-Victoire Daubié” Residence for Researchers in Paris (2014-2018).

CROX’s new White Building at the Chengdu Science and Technology Industry Incubation Park

CROX has completed work on the Chengdu Science and Technology Industry Incubation Park. The Chinese architectural studio’s White Building is a symbolic sculptural construction, a memorable landmark marking the gateway to the Park. The architects also completely redesigned all the spaces outside the buildings, making them greener, more natural and accommodating.

SOA Architectes Student Residence Halls in Gif-sur-Yvette France

SOA Architectes studio has designed new student residence halls in Gif-sur-Yvette, a French town twenty-four kilometers from Paris. Since the second half of the twentieth century, the town has rapidly expanded due to the creation of prestigious research organizations and scientific higher education institutes such as CNRS and CentraleSupélec which are part of the Paris-Saclay technology hub.

Panorama Architecture designs MMSH Research Campus in Aix-en-Provence

The Panorama Architecture firm designed the renovation and extension project of a structure built in Aix-en-Provence in the 1990s, transforming it into a new campus and Research Centre on human and social sciences specialised in the Mediterranean world: the Maison Méditerranéenne des Sciences de l’Homme.
