Neri & Hu’s Junshan Cultural Centre

Neri&Hu’s Junshan Cultural Centre is located just outside Beijing, among the meandering rivers and undulating mountain ranges of the Miyun reservoir, and also includes a clubhouse and a sales centre. The architecture is based on a blend of Nordic design with contemporary oriental style, combining a bare brick structure and a pattern of vertical aluminium panels with a wood print that lightens the building’s external appearance. The luxurious interiors are designed to blend into their natural surroundings, and the inner courtyard is covered by a sculptural ceiling of Venetian white plaster that acts as a trait d'union between the spaces.

Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat is a luxury boutique hotel on a little lake in the Chinese town of Yangzhou. Designed by famous studio Neri&Hu, the project combines a series of little old abandoned buildings in a single architectural whole, restored and brought together within walls of reclaimed brick that give the entire structure a unified, contemporary architectural identity.
