Neri&Hu have provided Beijing pastry brand Lao Ding Feng with new headquarters through adaptive reuse of an old textiles factory, grafting concrete onto brick walls to give the confectionary industry a new look.

Reflective Nostalgia exhibition - Neri&Hu Design and Research Office in Berlin
Until November 30, 2022, the Aedes Architecture Forum in Berlin will host the "Reflective Nostalgia" exhibition dedicated to the works of the Neri&Hu Design and Research Office studio. An exhibition of about thirty works, some completed and others in the design phase, for an up-close look at the work of a studio that is considered the Chinese avant-garde in architecture, research and teaching of the discipline, product and interior design.

Schindler City, the Schindler Group’s headquarters and research centre in Shanghai, is designed to be a stronghold of production. In Jiading, a growing industrial district north of Shanghai, Neri & Hu designed gardens and plazas in an enclosure of recycled brick walls.

Neri & Hu’s Junshan Cultural Centre
Neri&Hu’s Junshan Cultural Centre is located just outside Beijing, among the meandering rivers and undulating mountain ranges of the Miyun reservoir, and also includes a clubhouse and a sales centre. The architecture is based on a blend of Nordic design with contemporary oriental style, combining a bare brick structure and a pattern of vertical aluminium panels with a wood print that lightens the building’s external appearance. The luxurious interiors are designed to blend into their natural surroundings, and the inner courtyard is covered by a sculptural ceiling of Venetian white plaster that acts as a trait d'union between the spaces.

Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat: "The Brick Wall" by Neri & Hu
Tsingpu Yangzhou Retreat is a luxury boutique hotel on a little lake in the Chinese town of Yangzhou. Designed by famous studio Neri&Hu, the project combines a series of little old abandoned buildings in a single architectural whole, restored and brought together within walls of reclaimed brick that give the entire structure a unified, contemporary architectural identity.
