Maurizio Lai - Light installations and geometries for a restaurant project
Architect Maurizio Lai designed a project characterised by light installations, colours and abstract geometries for an existing building. A basic container with no particular architectural qualities located in the province of Como. The carefully thought out light design, the artistic signs and the scenic effects used to redesign both the façade and the indoor spaces, give the restaurant a distinctive identity that differs from the typical appearance of standardised Asian restaurants.

Villa Copenhagen, refurbishment and reuse
London-based firm, Goddard Littlefair, has transformed the public areas of the Central Post and Telegraph Head Office, a listed, iconic building in Copenhagen, initially built in 1912. It is now known as Villa Copenhagen, and it has been converted into a standout landmark hotel.

Minéral, a new venue by Blanchette Architectes in Montreal
The Canadian firm Blanchette Architectes recently completed Minéral, the latest project from entrepreneurs and restaurateurs Mathieu Ménard and Steve Grenier, in the heart of Montreal’s Gay Village. A wine bar by day and a nightclub after sundown, this venue welcomes guests with a mood that plays with the use of light and simple materials.

The designer Bob Chen completed the interior design of the house of the advertising executive, Guang Liu, who actively collaborated on the project to craft a tailormade environment. The house revolves around Guang Liu’s penchant for pre-loved objects and reflects its owner’s strong character.

Felix Meritis, renewing the past to take it into the future, by i29
Felix Meritis is a building on the Keizersgracht in Amsterdam, constructed in 1788 for a society of scientists, artists, entrepreneurs and thinkers. The Dutch architecture firm i29 was commissioned by Amerborgh investment group to revamp its interiors. The design concept is standout, charismatic, inspired by the building’s rich history.

Skylab gives the W San Francisco a makeover
The W San Francisco hotel has been revamped by Portland-based firm, Skylab as part of a multi-stage project. The design team drew their inspiration from the city’s history, from the days of the gold rush, through to the psychedelic ‘60s and ‘70s to create a unique experience for guests in a LEED-EBOM certified facility.
