ORA and a house inside a ruin

Blee Halligan Architects from barn to B&B: Five Acre barn in Suffolk
Blee Halligan Architects designed a home with a B&B in a five-acre wood near Aldeburgh, in Suffolk on the east coast of England, transforming an existing structure and built a new B&B with five bedrooms overlooking a landscaped garden. The new construction has an unusual undulating roof that adds dynamism to the interiors of the rooms. The project has won a number of important RIBA awards.

San Sa Village by IlLab Architects, a tribute to the senses and to regional culture
San Sa Village is a hotel complex north of Beijing, not far from the Great Wall of China. The project by llLab Architects - on a site that used to be occupied by a petrol station - was conceived as a kind of village-style group of buildings made from local slate and brick.
