Zermani: cremation temple in Parma
Local history and use of materials go together in Paolo Zermani’s design. In the crematorium in Parma, the architect draws on the local tradition of bare brick walls and takes his inspiration from the Greco-Roman basilica layout to underline the solemnity of the ritual that takes place in the building.
