Fiandre at Mipim 2017 and the Museum of Alfa Romeo History

From March 14 through 17 2017 the Palais des Festivals in Cannes hosts the 28th edition of MIPIM International property investment fair, where the Mipim Awards will be awarded today, March 16. The international property investment awards are presented to buildings which have been or will be constructed in 11 different categories: innovative buildings in sectors ranging from healthcare to tourism, from shopping centres to homes, as well as the special prize of the jury.

In this prestigious setting, Granitifiandre S.p.A. is at stand P-1.N61 presenting the Fiandre Architectural Surfaces brand and an outstanding case history: the renovation and new exhibition installations of the Alfa Romeo Museum in Arese by Camerana&Partners.
Fiandre took up this new challenge following its project at Expoforum in St. Petersburg in partnership with Russian studios Speech and Gerasimov and the Sustainable Farm Pavilion built for New Holland Agriculture at Expo Milano 2015.
A challenge, because the flooring in the museum and connected spaces, totalling more than 12,000 sqm, was covered with a product developed specifically for the project: Alfa Romeo Black by Fiandre, faithfully reproducing the original flooring installed in the 1960s in the building in Arese.
Alfa Romeo Black by Fiandre consists of 100x100 cm slabs 6 mm thick which combine the aesthetic quality the architects demanded with all the benefits of a top quality porcelain product made using Maximum Fiandre Extralite® technology, guaranteeing that the appearance of the floor will not change over time thanks to its high resistance to chemicals and abrasion.
