The exhibition in progress at Antonia Jannone Gallery – Architectural Drawings, presents twenty pieces of work undertaken by architect Aldo Rossi, until 31st October.



Exhibition: ALDO ROSSI Drawings 1980 – 1996

Artworks on paper and card with pen and pencil drawings, watercolours, collages exemplify the works of architect, Aldo Rossi on display at the Antonia Jannone Gallery for the exhibition entitled Aldo Rossi. Drawings 1980 – 1996. Artworks that give visitors some insight into the architect’s visual thoughts relating to a number of buildings: the school in Cantù (1986-1994), the Letzipolis shopping centre in Zurich (1995), the layout for a hospital and administrative headquarters in Hasselt (1992-1996), the Palazzo dello Sport (sports facility) in Milan (1988), the Marburg Museum (1987) and the Sandro Pertini monument in Milan (1988-1990).

Two years after the exhibition Aldo Rossi. Works 1970 - 1980, this Milanese gallery is pleased to b ring back the great Italian architect, this time showcasing his later works, when Aldo Rossi had already made a name for himself in Italy and abroad, receiving many international awards; he was awarded the Pritzker Prize in 1990 and received the 1991 Thomas Jefferson Medal in Architecture.
