Plenty of new designs for the kitchen have been presented at the biggest international trade fairs in 2022.
The trend will continue into the autumn, when the most important space in the home will continue to be the key to interior design and the setting of cutting-edge technologies for the home.

While maintaining its nature as a convivial space, the contemporary kitchen is an increasingly functional, dynamic place offering the ideal terrain for experimentation.
Application of new materials and technologies to the kitchen allows this part of the home to be integrated into the living area with attractive cabinetry and stand out with all its power of attraction, revealing all the decorative potential of custom-made countertops, islands and peninsulas.

Whatever choices we make in the kitchen, surfaces play a key role in determining the aesthetic of new homes and restyling projects alike.
High-tech ceramic, the most popular material among interior designers and design fans today, offers a number of fascinating proposals combining beauty with practicality in the kitchen.
An example is the Sapienstone catalogue exploring the colours, textures and finishes of 320x150 cm ceramic maxi-slabs.

The most refined marbles, woods and stones are expressed in a palette of whites, beiges, greys and blacks, colours which are very easy to mix and match and appropriate for a great variety of different styles, from traditional to contemporary. Sapienstone ceramic slabs can also be used on walls or floors to create an integrated look in the same colour as the countertop or in a contrasting hue.

Sapienstone will appear in three international trade fairs this month, starting with Area30 in Löhne (Germany, 17-22 September). In the region of East Westfalia, renowned throughout northern Europe for its production of kitchen furnishings, "SapienStone participates as a representative of quality Italian production, with an all-Italian manufacturing process featuring exclusive properties".

In collaboration with Spanish partner Matimex, Sapienstone will then travel to Espacio Cocina SICI in Valencia (Spain, 20-23 September), 2022 World Design Capital. An exhibition specialising in kitchen furnishings and equipment for the industry, Espacio Cocina will be held this year "in combination with two other events focusing on the world of interior design and home fabrics: Feria Hábitat Valencia and Home Textiles Premium by Textilhogar".

The third event is the unmissable Cersaie 2022 in Bologna (26-30 September), a 5-day event focusing on ceramics for architecture and bathroom furnishings attended by dealers and professionals from all over the world. SapienStone will be "at the Iris Ceramica Group’s stand to underline the company’s vision of sustainability and ongoing innovation", as demonstrated by the company’s recent Cradle to Cradle certification and futuristic plans to build a hydrogen-powered factory.
