Luca Drago and Sara Eleonora Giorgia Parodi, winners of the first Active prize, are on the panel of judges for the second edition, recently announced by Graziano Verdi, chairman and CEO of GranitiFiandre and Iris Ceramica.

Active Architecture - Active Design

Luca Drago of the Open Project architectural studio won the first Active Architecture prize for his plan for expansion of the offices of the food company Granarolo. The winning project in the Design section was a plan by architect Sara Eleonora Giorgia Parodi of studio Deepp for a restaurant and lounge in Le Torri shopping centre in Rovigo.

The two architects will be members of the panel of judges for the second competition, recently introduced by Graziano Verdi, chairman and CEO of GranitiFiandre and Iris Ceramica.
The competition is intended for all professionals (architects, engineers, designers, etc.) who have used GranitiFiandre's Active line in their projects.
The intention is to invite professionals in the field to propose innovative projects making use of environmentally friendly, sustainable materials such as Active Clean Air & Antibacterial Ceramic TM, the revolutionary material developed by GranitiFiandre and Iris Ceramica.

There are two categories in the award: Active Architecture for “green” builders, and Active Design, for interior design projects which strive to achieve sustainability and wellness by using eco-active materials to reduce indoor pollution.
As in 2010, the prizes in the Active Architecture section will be awarded by GranitiFiandre, and those in the Active Design section by Iris Ceramica.
