The Triennale Game Collection features in the 23rd International Exhibition

Art and video games go hand in hand in the second volume of the Triennale Game Collection, a special section within the 23rd International Exhibition. Pietro Righi Riva, the curator of the collection, handpicked five independent game designers and asked them to put their own personal spin on the theme of the Exhibition: Unknown Unknowns - An Introduction to Mysteries. What they produced reflects the cultural diversity of each designer, reflecting upon the unknown nature of outer space as a key to understanding our own inner space.

Triennale Milano, between new exhibitions and installations

From April 1, two new installations designed by two important masters of architecture, which have recently become part of the permanent collection of the Milanese institution, are on display in the Triennale Milano gardens, named after Giancarlo De Carlo: "Meuble Plus", a project for the support of refugees conceived by Yona Friedman and "Grande Milano", the chair designed by Italian architect Aldo Rossi in a 7:1 scale.

pietro Lingeri exhibition - Abstraction and construction Triennale Milano

An exhibition dedicated to the works of architect Pietro Lingeri (1894-1968), curated by Gabriele Neri and staged by Onsitestudio, is currently running at the Milan Triennale until 21 November. The initiative is part of the process of enhancing and promoting the work of the great masters that the Triennale Milano has implemented for some years now. To coincide with the celebrations for the seven hundredth anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, the exhibition also includes design drawings and the original model of the famous Danteum, a work Ligeri designed together with Terragni and that was never built.

"10 Journeys through Italian Architecture" exhibition at Triennale di Milano

At the Triennale di Milano, an exhibition opened its doors to the public on October 1, to tell the story of Italy’s contemporary architectural heritage through photographs taken along 10 routes that cross the Italian peninsula. The images were captured by photographers under 40 and are part of an initiative promoted by the Direzione Generale Creatività Contemporanea (DGCC) of the Italian Ministry of Culture, which implements the Atlante Architettura Contemporanea platform.

The winners of the 2020 Italian Architecture Award

On June 30 MAXXI National Museum of 21st Century Art hosted the awards ceremony in the first edition of the Italian Architecture Award, promoted by MAXXI and Triennale Milano with the support of the Italian Culture and Tourism Ministry. On the podium, two women architects: Francesca Torzo with "Z33 House for Contemporary Art, Design and Architecture" and Lucy Styles with "Home Sweet Home". Architect Cino Zucchi was awarded an honourable mention for the Lavazza Headquarters, while the Award for Lifetime Achievement went to architect Renzo Piano.

Premio Italiano di Architettura 2020 Award for Lifetime Achievement assigned to Renzo Piano

Triennale di Milano and Maxxi, the National Museum of 21st Century Arts in Rome, with the support of MiBACT, the Italian culture ministry, held the first edition of Premio Italiano di Architettura, the Italian Prize for Architecture, in 2020. The first prize to be presented is the Award for Lifetime Achievement, which goes to Renzo Piano, the 1998 Pritzker Prize winning architect with a life-long appointment to the Italian senate. The awards ceremony will be held at Maxxi in Rome on June 30, on the occasion of the opening of the YAP Rome at MAXXI 2020 project, when the winners in the categories for the best built projects will be announced.
