Meta-Horizons: The Future Now exhibition by Zaha Hadid Architects in Seoul
The sinuous futuristic forms of the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, South Korea, inaugurated in 2014 and designed by Zaha Hadid Architects, host the new exhibition 'Meta-Horizons: The Future Now’ curated by the same architectural firm. Amidst immersive technologies, participatory design and new manufacturing techniques, the public will be taken on a journey through the latest projects and research conducted by Zaha Hadid Architects.

Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021
The third edition of the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021 entitled "CROSSROADS Building the Resilient City" and directed by architect Dominique Perrault was inaugurated on September 16. At the centre of the various events and exhibitions that will animate the biennial until October 31, the emphasis is on reflections and visions of the city of the future and of the contemporary city, to identify new sustainable paths. The intent is also to explore the pivotal role of architecture and urban planning in charting new perspectives towards a more sustainable world.

THISS at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism
The British architecture firm THISS, founded by architects Tamsin Hanke and Sash Scott, is present at the Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism 2021 (SBAU) with the Resilient Monument project. The installation in the Cities section of the SBAU investigates the meaning of monuments, examined from the point of view of resilience.

Empathy Park by studio audal for the Seoul International Garden Festival
Quentin Aubry and Zeger Dalenberg’s Studio audal designed Empathy Park in Seoul, South Korea: a park for everyone, from insects to animals and various categories of people. The installation was created for the Seoul International Garden Festival with the Korean landscape architects of Timperley Garden.

Foster + Partners designs Hankook Technoplex headquarters in Pangyo, Seoul
The Foster + Partners architecture firm has designed the new Hankook headquarters, South Korean company specialised in the production of tires. Built in Pangyo, on the outskirts of Seoul, the new building has been conceived to go beyond the corporate vision of a classic and hierarchical entrepreneurship, offering flexible and dynamic workspaces and becoming the symbol of a constantly evolving and future-oriented corporate culture.

UNStudio's design for the Korean National Football Centre in Seoul comes out on top
The design competition for the creation of the new Korean National Football Centre in Seoul has been won by the submission from Dutch architecture firm UNStudio, in collaboration with the Johan Cruijff ArenA in Amsterdam. The new complex will not only celebrate the history of Korean football, but also promote the future of the sport and a healthy lifestyle: not only football, then, but also health, wellbeing, science, technology and education at the service of Korea’s sports fans and athletes.
