“Odessa” Restaurant: Storytelling by YOD Design Lab

Materials and light are the key ingredients used by the Ukrainian studio YOD Design Lab in the restyling of the historic Odessa Restaurant in Kiev. Khmaladze: Service station and McDonalds in Batumi (Georgia)

Awarded a special mention for best first project in Next Landmark 2013, the second international architecture contest, Giorgi Khmaladze’s project is a strong urban landmark in a new district in Batumi, Georgia. Occupying only a small piece of ground, the building combines a service station with a McDonalds restaurant so that the two services complement one another.
