2021 marks not only the 20th anniversary of the founding of Floornature.com, but also the 10th anniversary of Next Landmark, the international competition promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group and curated by the editorial staff of Floornature.com, in collaboration with leading names in contemporary architecture. Over the years, the contest has been continuously updated in terms of the themes covered and the partners involved, while maintaining one key element unchanged: Next Landmark values original and innovative projects and research, representative of the state of the art of contemporary architecture.

A new garden for Casa Coccapani thanks to the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group

On June 22, the new garden of the Casa Coccapani nursery school was inaugurated. The structure’s existing green space was significantly redeveloped thanks to the programme promoted by the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group, in collaboration with the Municipality of Fiorano Modenese. The project of ideas that creatively transformed the existing green space into a "planetary garden" was conceived by architect Bruna Sigillo, winner of "Next Landmark 2020", the international contest promoted by the Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group and by the Floornature architecture portal.

The winners of the 2021 Next Landmark International Award

The jury of the Next Landmark International AWARD has announced the winners of the tenth international contest promoted by Floornature, the architecture and design magazine published by the Iris Ceramica Group. The Landmark of the Year Award goes to the "Casa en el Bosque" project by architect Moises Morales, co-founder of W.E.Y.E.S Estudio in Mexico. The winner of the Research Award for unbuilt projects developed in an academic context or independently is Regenerated Spaces (間) around Lighthouse by Italian architect Selene Amico.

The tenth Next Landmark International Award gets underway in 2021

“Functional mixing: new links between architecture and inclusive and sustainable urban spaces” is the title of the tenth edition of the international Next Landmark contest promoted by Floornature, the architecture and design magazine published by the Iris Ceramica Group. With a formula renewed every year to adapt to the needs of the day, in its tenth year the Next Landmark International Award invites submissions in a contest for selection of two winning projects focusing on sustainable functional mixing: one built project and one study project.

Projects may be uploaded until 30 May 2020 to enter the ninth international NextLandmark contest for architects and designers promoted by Fondazione Iris Ceramica Group and Floornature, the architecture and design portal published by the Iris Ceramica Group. Innovating year after year, the international contest proposes a new formula linked with the ideas competition for the year 2020: entrants are asked to present a proposal for a new outdoor area for “Casa Coccapani” kindergarten in Fiorano Modenese (MO).
