Winners of the 2020 Architecture Drawing Prize
The Architecture Drawing Prize is part of a circuit of events linked with the World Architecture Festival. The fourth edition of the prize, an expression of the timeless fascination of architectural drawing, now has a new category: the Lockdown Prize. The winner is Clement Laurencio for Apartment #5, which also won the Hybrid category.

Contacto Atlântico’s Liberdade 40: renovating according to local tradition
Contacto Atlântico, a Portuguese architectural practice based in Estoril, renovated a twelve-floor building on Lisbon’s famous Avenida da Liberdade. The building, which used to contain offices and was covered entirely with glass, is now Liberdade 40: a luxury residential complex containing seventeen apartments of different sizes redesigned by Contacto Atlântico on the basis of the zero-kilometre philosophy, with a passive ventilation system and a truly Portuguese identity

Denise Scott Brown wins Lifetime Achievement Award at the Lisbon Architecture Triennale
The Lisbon Architecture Triennale jury presents the Lifetime Achievement Award to architect Denise Scott Brown, and reveals the finalists for the Début and Universities Awards. The 5th Triennale, curated by architect and theorist Éric Lapierre, will take place in the Portuguese capital from October 3 to December 2, 2019.

The exhibition about great architect Álvaro Siza curated by Raul Betti and Greta Ruffino in Lisbon’s Atelier Aires Mateus has been extended until June 18. Focusing on the famous architect’s intimate, private side, the exhibition was first presented in the summer of 2017 at FAB Fiandre Architectural Bureau Castellarano.
