"Materials Semantics in Design Applications": Talk and Workshop in Dubai
First stop in Dubai for the "Local Cultures in Global Settings" international contest promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group and its Foundation, and curated by UAE Modern. On May 22 and 23, the Canadian University Dubai will host "Materials Semantics in Design Applications", a talk featuring important guests from the world of design and a workshop aimed at students inspired by the works of the Brazilian master Roberto Burle Marx.

Unique pieces from the artistic world of ceramics, fashion and motors on display in Modena
The Iris Ceramica Group and its Foundation are collaborating on the exhibition entitled "Manualmente: pezzi di pezzi unici" (Manually: pieces of unique pieces), presented in the Chiesa di San Carlo in Modena from May 11 to June 25, 2023. The protagonists of the exhibition are unique works of art from the world of ceramics, fashion and motors, emphasising their craftsmanship and artistic creativity.

Iris Ceramica Group launches the international Local Cultures in Global Settings Contest
Registration is now open for the international "Local Cultures in Global Settings" contest promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group and open to architecture, art and design professionals who have graduated since 2013. Entrants may register and send their entries by July 31, 2023. The contest promotes technological innovation and the creation of conscious communities that share common values to combat climate change. The prizes for the winner include the creation of a prototype, the exhibition of the winning project and a trip to Dubai on the occasion of the Dubai Design Week.

From Milan to the international scene, the Iris Ceramica Group Fuorisalone
The Iris Ceramica Group's Fuorisalone week began taking root in the local area, with an installation designed by Asti Architetti in the centrally-located Via dei Mercanti in Milan. The programme continued with meetings in the Group's showroom in Via Santa Margherita, with important guests from different parts of the world and the launch of an international contest that will link the Italian city to London and Dubai in the weeks ahead.

Local Cultures in Global Settings, Iris Ceramica Group contest kicks off
Celebrating local cultures in global settings is the central theme – as well as the title – of the new international contest promoted by the Iris Ceramica Group and curated by UAE Modern. Following the round table held in Milan on April 20 during the Fuorisalone to kick off the event, new talks are planned in London and Dubai to accompany the contest until the final announcement of the winners at the Dubai Design Week.

WAF 2022 begins in Lisbon with Floornature and the Iris Ceramica Group
The World Architecture Festival and INSIDE World Festival of Interiors begin today in Lisbon, continuing until 2 December 2022. The world-wide event for architecture is back in the Portuguese capital again, after the 2021 edition. Floornature and the Iris Ceramica Group are involved in two competitions: The Architecture Drawing Prize and The Architectural Photography Awards.
