Superurban: Sustainable Urban Regeneration exhibition

Until February 13 2012 Padua's Palazzo della Ragione hosts an exhibition of 19 urban redevelopment and renewal projects. The installation is by Andrea Boschetti and Alberto Francini (Metrogramma) with Michele De Lucchi (AMDL).

The projects presented represent 19 ideas of the city from various parts of the world which have arisen in very different socioeconomic and cultural contexts but share the status of models for the cities of the future, and specifically models for sustainable, inclusive, intelligent cities.

The installation recreates a stage set allegorically representing a cross section of a city; visitors can interact in this hypothetical city of the future and virtually tour the cities represented by the projects on display.
The exhibition is accompanied by a calendar of meetings and debates with architects and urban planners and an exhibition of the projects selected for the Barbara Cappochin International Architecture Prize, won by architects Fabrizio Barozzi and Alberto Veiga in 2011.
