SpazioFMG, Cini Boeri Designing joy

On December 11 the exhibition on Cini Boeri entitled “Progettando la gioia” ('Designing joy'), curated by Luca Molinari and Alessandro Benetti for SpazioFMGperl'Architettura, opened at Iris Ceramica and FMG Fabbrica Marmi e Graniti's gallery in Milan.
Large numbers of friends, colleagues, clients, students and architecture fans attended the event to meet and find out more about architect Cini Boeri, one of only a handful of women architects who have risen to prominence on the Italian and international architecture scene.

The objects on exhibit represent the architect's 50 year career: from the Partner suitcase designed for Franzi to the recent cup for Design Memorabilia, Cini Boeri has designed objects meant to be “used” and not just “owned”, tools for improving the quality of everyday life. This is the final goal of her design and architecture projects, as the architect herself explains: “... I want my project to offer the best of what my client wants”, further clarifying the meaning of the exhibition's title: «“designing joy”, which means helping other people and ourselves live better. [...] a project always attempts to offer something new, and if the new is good, and is what people “want”, it cannot help producing joy».
