On October 28 the most important awards presented by the Consejo Superior de Colegios de Arquitectos de Espana (CSCAE) were announced. The main prize, the "Premio de Arquitectura", went to Museo Soulages Rodez, France, by Spanish architectural practice RCR Arquitectos.
Architects Alberto Campo Baeza and Raphaël Gabrión won the prize in the “Proyecto de Concurso Internacional" category for their proposal for the design competition for a new conservation and restoration centre for the Louvre in Lievin, France.
The plan for expansion of the Louvre Museum in Lievin was not built, but the proposal presented by architects Alberto Campo Baeza and Raphaël Gabrión won the competition in a tie with the plan submitted by architect Richard Rogers.
In the new category "Planeamiento Urbanístico y Realizaciones Urbanas", added for the first time in 2015, architects Walter Beltrán Espinosa, Agustín Cabrera Domínguez e Gumersindo Trujillo Dominguez won with their Gran Agadir Master Plan in Morocco. Lastly, Fundación de Arquitectura Contemporánea was awarded the "Apoyo a la Internacionalización" prize for its support and cultural promotion of Spanish architects all over the world.
